Davids Upholstery

David the upholsterer does not merely restore furniture he resurrects it. Where others see worn fabric and sagging cushions he sees hidden structure quiet potential and a story waiting to be retold. His hands move with a precision that feels almost surgical yet there’s nothing cold about his craft. Every stitch every pull of fabric every carefully placed tack carries intention patience and an almost stubborn commitment to perfection. There’s something astonishing about the way he understands materials. Leather velvet linen they don’t just sit under his hands they respond to him. He knows exactly how much tension a fabric can take before it loses its character how to shape cushioning so it doesn’t just look good but feels right. You sit on one of his finished pieces and immediately notice the difference not just comfort but balance support and a quiet sense of craftsmanship that most people can’t name but instantly recognize. What really sets David apart though is his refusal to cut corners. In a world that rewards speed and shortcuts he works as if time doesn’t exist. He’ll redo something three times if it isn’t perfect not because anyone asked him to but because he expects it of h

David reupholstered a leather office chair for me. The chair was very worn. He did a fantastic job. The chair looks and feel new, even tough it is over 20 years old. I highly recommend David's Upholstery.

The prices were very low, very reasonable in comparison to other upholstery place’s estimates I’ve seen in the past. He firms up and sturdies the pieces. I brought him a piano bench that is over 100 years old and was very wobbly. It feels and looks like new now. I brought him my dad’s 31 year old recliner. It is beautiful now. Like new. And I brought him a rocking chair I bought at Goodwill for $20. It was wobbly too, and stained. It is absolutely gorgeous now. I could not have been more pleased!

We restored a 1955 Aristocraft Torpedo runabout (wooden boat) this Spring/early Summer. We wanted to replace the old upholstery, but keep the feel of what it looked like in the 1950s. The boat originally only had upholstered backs and a wooden bench seat. However, we wanted a padded seat that could be removed depending on if we were fishing or not. David helped us plan a design that works both with and without the padded bench seat. It is also patterned after the original upholstery. David did an amazing job and we couldn't be more pleased. We highly recommend him and his work.
